Reaching Milestones -Do You Challenge Yourself Enough?
So I finally published 100 articles on eHow! I am extremely happy that I have reached this milestone. I actually sat at 95 for two weeks due to my work schedule, but who’s counting anyways.
As I hit the publish button on my 100th article, I could not help but wonder how I could have gotten there earlier. I set high expectations for myself, but I never wrote anything down. Yeah, I had the whole vague, publish as many articles as I can by December 31st and the put the income on autopilot during busy season thing. To be honest, this method simply does not work.
You need to be able to objectively analyze your results at the end of the month. How well you performed…Did you live up to your expectations…etc. Simply hoping, and dreaming, won’t cut it. Once you start to create your written goals, be careful not to be overzealous. This can lead you to feel hopeless and to quit long before you would have without any goals to discourage you.
Set easy to understand goals, that are slightly challenging, and review them at the end of the month. Achieving your goals does not have to be impossible, but it will take some effort.
What have you done today to help you achieve your goals? What milestones are you approaching and how can I help you reach them?
